Contact Form 7 – failed to load resource

Hello,
I seem to be getting an error in the console when loading my website although the captcha images displays perfectly. The console shows the following error:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 (Forbidden)
/wp-content/uploads/wpcf7_captcha/[email protected]I have given full access to the file/directory using chmod 777 but still does not help.
Additionally, I came across this closed post which appears same issue although it was closed without giving an actual solution.
