• Hello,

When I send a form submission through a desktop or iPad it works flawlessly and I receive the email. But when I send the form through mobile (specifically iPhone Safari) I Immediately recieve an error stating how it failed to send the message and I of corse do not receive the email either.

I have the latest version of Contact Form 7 and WordPress installed.

I have deactivated all plugins and theme with no avail.

I have switched to the basic Oshin theme contact form and that did actually work well but is too basic. I would really would like to use the more comprehensive Contact Form 7.

Please feel free the have a look at my contact page with Contact Form 7 installed here to test the form: https://www.mmarchitecturalphotography.com/contact/

And here is the contact page w the basic Oshin contact form installed: https://www.mmarchitecturalphotography.com/contact-form-oshin/

Any insight or solutions to my problem would be very highly appreciated.

    Thank you for you time.

Ive been investigating this issue for two days and have been through every single page of that link you’ve provided me already. Thanks for the link though.

Please include all your input in the Form and Mail sections of the CF7 interface. This will help others here to understand your actual problem.

Using [your-name] <[your-email]> is risky and will cause problems on many hosts. You need a host that allows emails to be sent from email addresses that are not hosted on that domain. Many hosts prevent this. Even if your host allows this, your emails are likely to be seen as spam by other hosts.

So I’d need to make it like this?

    To: [email protected]

    From: [your-name] <[email protected]>

    Your Subject: [your-subject]

    Additional Headers: Reply-To: [your-name] <[your-email]>

    Update:

I’ve tested this on multiple iPhones and iPhones with different browsers installed and the Contact Form 7 still does not work.

I have contacted my host and have run every test imaginable with them and they have logged no spam blocks or issues on their end. They have even tested it with their iPhones as well and are seeing the same issues as me.

All signs are pointing to a Contact Form 7 issue.

Using the same email address on both To: & From: can be problematic – some hosts will not allow this.

Note: I get emails sent from iPhones via CF7 every week.

I’ve been getting emails from contact forms via iPhone for years too no problem. Have you tested my form w a phone yet?

Please tell me how should I edit this code snippet?

I will look at that again. Will you please tell me your recommendation on how i should edit this snippet?:

Please tell me how should I edit this code snippet?

    To: [email protected]

The From: email should be a valid email address on the domain where the site is hosted.

The To: email just needs to be an email address you can access.

    (@mmfotos)

Thank you for the response. Here is exactly how it is input. Both emails are valid and have the same domain as my site. The result is the same – It sends on a desktop and iPad but will not send on phones.

    MAIL:

    To: [email protected]

    From: <[email protected]>

I would use From: [email protected] rather than From: <[email protected]> provided you’ve setup [email protected] as an active email address.

    Thread Starter MMfotos

    (@mmfotos)

Ok, I have deleted the brackets (below). And yes, both email addresses are active. But unfortunately my mobile phone problem remains.

    @buzztone

I was able to get ahold of an Android phone and Contact Form 7 worked fine. So it seems now only be a problem when submitted through iPhones. (I’ve tested multiple iPhones w multiple browsers)

Plus I noticed a after submitting on my iPhone that extension on the end of my URL appears as well: https://www.mmarchitecturalphotography.com/contact/#wpcf7-f3515-p3347-o3

I’m hoping that this information could help with your guidance. Thanks
