Contact Form 7: multiple columns

I am new to HTML and WordPress, and I’ve recently installed Contact Form 7 and would like to add a secondary column versus having one long vertical column. I understand that <p>text< /p> are paragraphs, and
is a break, but I tried removing both of these in efforts to move a field to the outer right column (tried to create a second column) and it didn’t work.

Can someone please let me know how to add a second column (and explain it as simplistic as possible?)
