• I automatically updated to 5.0.4 on most of my WP websites and then realized the forms weren’t sending emails / message. The only message in red box is displayed. The older version 5.0.3 is working fine on the other websites. Any thoughts?

    I just changed the sending method in CF7 email settings – I’m not using the <[email protected]> anymore but a standard email at the same domain (via WP Mail SMTP plugin) and it works that way. Anyway I would prefer if it could work like before (so I don’t have to create an email account on each website to use it for the CF7 form) – but I am not sure if it is even possible

    See If You Have Email Problems – most people that work carefully through this list of email sending issues are able to solve their particular problems.

    It’s now good practice to use a valid email address from your site domain in the CF7 From: field to avoid your CF7 emails being seen as spam by others.

    If they were to change this they should warn users in order to avoid this kind of problems. Not a good practice of the developer team.
