Contact Form 7 not sending email (thank you for you message.It has been sent)

I’m new to wordpress templates.I had seen and tried many fixes for this problem but none of those had fixed my problem.I tried configuring easy wp smtp plugin but it don’t even send mail.I got a suggestion of adding re-captcha. Is it mandatory to generate a recaptcha just to generate a enquiry e-mail.
