  • Thank you so much for your help Esmi. I’m investigating other form plugins, but I quite like CF7 and would like to see it working.

It’s also my preferred contact form plugin. ??

Update – I’ve tried Formidable Forms, Custom Contact Forms, and CF7. NONE of them work. They all say they’re validating correctly (success in sending the message) but emails are never received.

This MUST be a GoDaddy problem, no?

@bulldogs1991cj: Have you tried deactivating all other plugins and switching temporarily to Twenty Ten? FWIW, I think your problem is quite different from AverySwartz’s.

yep. I’m on Linux. thought I was on Winders.

OK, so how would being on Linux cause a line of code to get jacked up?

yep. I deactivated. uninstalled, reinstalled, created new forms, created test forms…

must be an issue with Linux

Ah well – it was worth asking. :-/

I guess I’ll have to try and use other contact forms or move my hosted site to another service or something

so how would being on Linux cause a line of code to get jacked up?

I don’t think it would be anything specific to Linux. It did occur to me that rewrites are a problem on Windows servers and that this might be part of your problem. That said, it’s just as possible to get a jacked-up Linux server as it is to have a Windows one. Getting your hosting company to investigate this as a possibility, however, is an entirely different subject…

Update from me – I’m on the phone with GoDaddy and they’re seeing some weird plugin conflicts.

Sounds like Bulldogs1991CJ and I definitely have different problems…

could be same problem, I am on Deluxe Linux too

if they finally come up with a solution, please post it for me, thanks!

Strange – my form started working. NO IDEA why. Some test emails got through, but not all of them.

The GoDaddy people were mega helpful, but said they couldn’t mess with the plugin since it doesn’t use the GoDaddy PHP Form Mailer.

We identified the same form action that bulldogs1991CJ had (the one that comes with CF7): /#wpcf7-f2-p83-o1

But they can’t touch that, since it’s not their code.

I was directed to this page to learn more about the GoDaddy PHP Form Mailer: https://community.godaddy.com/help/article/510?

I’m going to wait and see if the CF7 just starts working again on its own (as a fluke), and if not, I’ll create my own HTML form using this PHP.

Esmi, thanks again for your help, and good luck bulldogs1991CJ.

Check out this post I just made. Same issue, and though maybe not THE answer, it might shed some light…

So I’m having the exact same issues as Avery. Client is hosted on Godaddy / Linux. Email from CF7 stopped working earlier this week.

I tried shazen’s suggestion but that just ended up giving me the spinning arrows… no confirmation of “sent”… I switched the servers to SSH enabled (learned that trick for another client if you want to put your site on a different server), still nada.

This is ridiculous. Plugin worked. Plugin doesn’t work. I’m going to see about maybe downgrading the plugin version and see if that at least gets things back up and running.
