Contact Form 7 “There was an Error trying to…” Red/Orange Border

    It was working about a week ago, I did absolutely nothing from then until now, but when I try to send a message, it gives me an error for some reason that reads: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” with a red/orange border.

    Every single form on my website gives me an error except for the wjcampaigns.com/contact, which sends a success message, BUT I never receive the email to my gmail account. I am having so many issues with contact 7 I am getting very frustrated at this point with the constant issues.

    So I don’t know what this ongoing issue is, but the only thing I changed was the “from” from

    “[email protected]” to “[email protected]” and it started working again. What is the issue here? Contact 7 seems to always be having problems. Just changing the name before the “@wjcampaigns.com” should not have an effect on the delivery of the message, should it?

    Please help, about to rip out my hair.

    It sounds like your hosting may need the From: address on any emails sent by CF7 (or WordPress in general) to be a valid email address on the server.

    It’s a method hosts appear to be using more frequently to prevent their servers being used to send spam emails.

    I’m having the same issue…and it still happens when sending to an actual email address…not an alias.

    @qpms – see I have the same problem! Can I just reply to someone else’s post with “Me too”?.
