2. You need to know how to use Chrome Dev Tools or equivalent
3. Use Dev Tools to examine the CSS styling applied to your form in detail
4. Determine what CSS changes you need to make
5. Add custom CSS via WP Customizer > Custom CSS, custom CSS plugin or child theme.

Neil, thanks for your post above. I’m just trying to make my contact form show up smaller on my page, and can’t figure out what’s needed. Seems like very few (if any) simple options to just reduce the size of the fields. I can make them narrower, but want to reduce the height so it’s not so tall on my page. Can you help with any suggestions, or pay someone to fix this for me? Paul Kostial –[email protected]

Both address this, but frankly the answers don’t seem to work or work as you think.

sizing a texarea box (40×3 eg) certainly can reduce in height but adds one more line, and using 40×0 eg defaults to about 40×3, and it still seems to default to full width.

sizing a text box doesn’t – basically. HTML/CSS looks to be a a lot work.
