Contact form 7 – spining wheel – form not sending on one computer

    Hi,

    Great plugin and use it on all my websites.

    I have one client who the form doesn’t send on – his computer only as far as I can tell.

    I have tested it on 3 other computers on FF and Chrome – works fine.

    When send is clicked it just shows the sending wheel gif endlessly and nothing happens.

    HE is on latest version of Mac Os – works neither on his Chrome nor FF. He is using Avast as security.

    Can you advise, please?

    Thank you – but it is working on all other computers.

    I saw a feed about updating the plugin file to say fals re loading ajax.

    Could it be this, please?

    Or possibly a security setting on the one computer that it is not working on – their virus protection (Avast), possibly?

    The spinning arrow is a common sign of a JavaScript conflict. It’s relatively common to have JavaScript issues on one platform that are not a problem on other platforms.

    For the form submission to work on your clients computer (& others with same setup) you will almost certainly need to make changes on your website.

    Switch temporarily (nothing will be lost when you switch back) to a WP default theme & disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7 to see if the problem goes away.

    If it does you can switch back to your theme & re-activate each plugin one by one to see when the problem occurs.

    These posts are bad advice – it does not address any particular problem on your site (it just hides the symptoms) & you will lose all of CF7’s Javascript functionality which is important for things like form validation.
