• For some reason, the Contact Form 7 textstrings ‘Consented’ and ‘Not consented’ are not translated to the languages of my website (Dutch: contact-form-7-nl_BE.po, French: contact-form-7-fr_BE.po), although these translations are included in the corresponding.po files. Am I overlooking something?

  • I prefer to use different forms for each language. Thats more easy to setup and you can use additional fields etc

I already have created separate contact forms for each language. But these ‘Consented’ and ‘Not consented’ textstrings are not translated in either language.

It appears to me that string translation is only performed when you create your form. Once saved the texts aren’t translated again. Your form IS the translation. So @slamstar’s suggestion is sensible.

Loco Translate’s job is to save your translations into a PO file and compile a MO file. Everything that happens after that is beyond its control, so if you have technical questions about how and when translations are consulted you should ask the author of the plugin.
