Where can we see the website in question?

This is a problem that needs to be fixed. Not sure why you haven’t fix it yet.

Yeah, it definitely seems like 5.4 made updates that’s breaking form submissions on a large portion of sites in a way that then wasn’t documented on how to avoid it beforehand, and therefore isn’t really asking for specific support.

I think it should be considered that 5.4 be rolled back to 5.3.2 (which is then named 5.4.0.1 or something so already-updated sites can be fixed) until a proper fix is put in place for 5.4 (since this seems to be pretty widespread) and/or it’s properly documented on how to avoid it (since it’s a critical issue where forms aren’t being sent after updating & it not being clear what specifically CF7 5.4 requires that’s different [don’t defer a certain JS file, exclude caching a particular none, etc.] for the numerous sites that worked perfectly fine before 5.4.)
