I was adding the file upload functionality to a contact form I had created using this plugin. There are settings for limiting the file size (originally capped at 1MB) and I upped it to 25MB limit.

In testing the form out, I uploaded a 10MB file and sent it. Something went wrong and now my website is down. I found an error_log which explained that WP has a file size limit at 8.2MB. That would have been great to know beforehand (and needs to be addressed in an update).

Anyway, my question is, what do I do now? Can I uninstall Contact Form 7 via FTP? Is there a way to get a backup of all of the forms I created before uninstalling? Will this even solve the problem?

    Help!

Well, in case someone else runs into this issue, it has resolved itself. I waited for over an hour to hear from a third party tech support and by the time I did, the website was working again.

TLDR: Set file size BELOW 8MB, or else the site will freeze for 1.5 hours. Also, back up your website on occasion.
