Contact Form doesn't seem to be working right, no emails are received

    Hi,

    Please forgive me if this has already been covered, I did do a search and found some general info for a contact form plug in but not for the Virtue theme.

    I am putting together a WordPress site (my first) and using the free Virtue theme. I have set up a contact page and used the contact form. It seems to be working just fine when I test it and says the email has been sent but the emails are not being received. Is this a problem with the hosting service (I use DreamHost)?

    Also, just to verify that I have the correct info. The background and font colors on the icon menu can only be changed with the premium theme, is that correct?

    Thank you very much and thank you for this wonderful theme, I do love it, just struggling a bit learning how to use it as I am totally new to WordPress. But I will be purchasing the premium as soon as I am able, I am currently out of work due to an injury.

    1. Did you set a contact form email in the theme options > misc settings.

    2. You can change the colors with css. What are you wanting? I can help with the css. If you post a link to your site it’s easier. And yes premium has built in options for this

    Hi … Thank you for pointing me to the right place to set the email address for the contact form! I did make that change, but still not getting the “test” emails I’m sending so I am not sure what I am doing wrong now.

    As for the icon menu settings, not to worry, I just wanted to confirm those options were only available in the premium version. I don’t need to change then now. When I am able to buy the premium version, I will play around with it. For what I need now, the settings are perfectly fine, thank you.again

    My.site is not complete yet, just getting started setting it up, trying to learn WordPress, but if you have a second to see if you can figure out the contact form email issue, I would really appreciate it. And there is no.rush at all, I am not planning to go “live” with this right away, still have a lot of work to.do on it. Url is https://www.mydogsbestfriend.org.

    I am too struggling with free version of virtue. You are already into it so please help me out to resolve a few issues. I am unable to add comment block in the page. It is visible during editing but vanishes when previewed.

    In theme options > misc settings set Allow Comments on Pages to On.

    Thanks for responding.
    I have tried it earlier. Even tried after deactivating all the plugins. Still not working. Other things which are not working for me are –
    — “Use Topbar Icon Menu?” on setting to “on” mode it comes back to “off” after saving the setting.
    –“Show Cart total in topbar?” it is in “on” position but not visible on the topbar.

    Do you have the latest versions of the theme and wordpress? Can you post a link?

    Hi … I am sure Hannah will be able to help you out much better than me. I am just learning ??

    Virtue 2.3.7 WP 4.1. Link my not work for you as name server is not updated. I am running the same site on different platform. Rebuilding it in WP. Please let me know your email I will put screen shorts on it.

    If this isn’t a plugin issue and you’re up to date on everything then my next suggestion would be to contact your host. Could be that you php memory needs to be increased.
    Let me know if they can’t help!
