If you do not put an email address in the ‘Mailfrom’ field of the Frontpage Contact Section, the contact form does not correctly send the email. The only option is to pre-propogate the email with the website or owner email – which seems kind of silly. An email to/from the same person.

I would expect the Mailfrom to be generated by the form itself, since the field is required.

Am I missing something obvious here?

The mailfrom field is required for the script to specify the email address from which the email should be sent. This cannot be just any email address as most hosts would block the email as being “spoofed”. You’ll need an email address from your own domain there, something like [email protected].
