• In contact form 7 we have implemented Google reCAPTCHA keys. However, i discovered that emails from the contact form were not being received also getting error response message while clicking on submit button , when Google reCAPTCHA was integrated. but if we disabled and removed google recaptcha keys from form the form is submitting fine with success message also sending emails.

But if i remove google recaptcha keys integration getting lots of spams emails entries of forms submitting, i have also prevent this to by using plugin name “Spam Protect for Contact Form 7” & using “Honeypot for Contact Form 7” but after all still receving lots of spam emails, so i think trying to enable and implement with google recaptcha can be solve the issue of spam but while enabling it the form is not submitting issue, can anyone here please help me on this issue.

Try switching to the default theme, deactivating all plugins excluding Contact Form 7, Classic Editor, Wordfence Security and WP Mail SMTP, and clearing all cache data.

Why you are advised to deactivate plugins and switch to the default theme.

I was also just advised that my form wasn’t submitting. Seems like this is a common issue that is a few years old. We users are wanting to use recaptcha but the way you have it integrating it ends up conflicting with something and then we can’t use it & have to deal with spam.

I had to deactivate it on my WP site today & now the form works fine. What’s weird is that I have it on two sites and they are almost identical in setup but works on 1 and not the other.

CF7 I really think you need to address this & up the compatibility so users can have this integration to avoid spam.

    Hi @takayukister

I followed up on your response by changing the default theme, deactivating all plugins except Contact Form 7, Classic Editor, Wordfence Security, and WP Mail SMTP, and clearing all cache. Despite these changes, there is still an error when submitting the contact form, specifically when activating Google Recaptcha. After deactivating Google Recaptcha, the contact form works fine and emails are received as expected.

This suggests a conflict between Contact Form 7 and Google Recaptcha. I also changed the Google Recaptcha keys to ensure they weren’t the issue, but the problem persists. Could you please check this issue, update the plugin files, and release a new update for the plugin?
