    Hi, folks.
I used Getwid contact block the first time and was surprised I missed a checkbox which has to be checked before sending the form. In Europe the user has to confirm the privacy policy before sending the contact details. Therefore it is essential to have a checkbox where the user has to confirm it before he/she can send the form. Without this option the Getwid contact block is useless in Europe (and I think in some other countries as well).
Would it be possible to add this feature in a short time?
    Thanks in advance!

Great, @dimned . Hope, it will not take too long because, as I described, the contact form is not useable as it is (in Europe), if the site owner will follow the GDPR regulations.

@codestylist why don’t you just write a text before the submit button that “by submitting this form you agree with our TOS and TOC etc”.

@motopress This is not allowed with the GPDR regulations. It says, a user has to actively confirm a privacy policy. A pre-confirmation by pre-selecting the checkbox is not allowed.
If I would add just a text which refers to the send button it would be the same then pre-selecting the checkbox. A user can always say he/she didn’t read the text.
This is why we need a checkbox.

    Hi @dimned and @motopress.
I’m wondering if you have any news reagrding this topic.
Could you already work on this feature?

    Hi all,
one of the myths circulating about the GDPR is that it requires consent for ALL types of data processing. This is not true.
It is a good idea to point out and link the user directly above the send button to the privacy policy, which must then contain information on data processing when using the contact form.
In general, the following applies to contact forms:
    – Do not ask for unnecessary data (e.g. no salutation, name, phone number).
    – Do not imply newsletter consent
    – Restraint in email correspondence (e.g. no not reply with advertising messages)
    Ask https://www.privacypolicies.com/blog/gdpr-consent-examples/ or your lawyer!
    Best regards Stefan

    @stewi Unfortunately you are wrong.
The user has ALWAYS to confirm he agree the saving of the transmitted data. Even if you save them by email in your email client.
Under the GDPR, consent must be freely given via an ambiguous action. Mechanisms like pre-checked boxes are forbidden.

    Hi @codestylist,
Unfortunately, there is no news about the implementation of the feature yet. This task is in our list of requests though there are not so many votes like for other features. We will do notify you if we have any news.
