• I have had a couple customers tell me that they tried contacting me through my website. I have done some tests and the emails are no longer going through. I cannot reach the person that designed my site (no longer with company I hired) and I can’t find where to change default email. Domain name is https://www.ejflooring.com

(ignore the black listing, I fixed that earlier, just waiting on Google to clear me). Contact form is on top right of header bar. Any help would be great.

  • This plugin helped me after my host had helped fill the boxes at Dashboard > Settings > Writing > Post via e-mail.

The contact form on the top right of the page where customers can request an estimate is the form I’m having trouble with. I filled out the form and it no longer goes to my inbox (not even the spam folder). I have tried going through the code to find where the form should be linking, but I’ve had no luck. The theme is a child theme, I don’t know if that matters.

I would begin troubleshooting by making a dummy user account with one of my extra e-mail addresses to see whether the site can send a registration e-mail that gets through, then begin checking the settings for the contact form after you are certain the underlying system is working.

I can’t find the settings for the contact form. It’s not showing up in my Cforms plugin (I don’t know if that is the spot to be looking in or not). How would I replace the form located in the header?

If you cannot find anything at the Dashboard, a Developer might have written it in as part of the theme.

That’s what I think is going on. I have tried looking at the theme code with no luck. None of my forms are going to my inbox (cformsll was already set up when they handed me the site three years ago). I’m not seeing anywhere where the contact form is supposed to go. I am trying to locate any issues on my cpanel, but no luck so far there either.

What code should I be looking for? It quit working a couple months ago (usually I only get spam emails, nothing important). I would like it fixed in case I actually get a good lead from the site.
