• I have installed contact form 7 version 7.4.3.

I guess Everything is correct, but it is not sending me email.

It has sent me 2 emails till now.

That means it sends emails. It is inconsistent. In the from (return address) I have given [email protected]

The emails go to spam folder but (the 2 emails)

After I fill up the form I get the green box saying that email has been sent successfully.

My receiving email address is a yahoo address, but I have tried with a gmail address too.

I guess email server is sending emails properly

    Can you help

    Thanks

So your email are being seen as spam somewhere in the email process. This is usually due to email headers. Consider changing the From email address used.

Emails can be considered spam for a whole host of reasons and get rejected at many points in the email process in addition to your spam folder.

See Contact Form 7 Email Issues – this links to a much more comprehensive article which also covers emails being considered spam.

Thank you for the quick response,
But I am afraid I am not able to find any solution to recovering the mail gone down the Black Hole.
I tried changing the from email address as well.

Are you saying you don’t receive some emails? They can not be recovered. But you can prevent the ones in the future from getting lost. WordPress emails are sent but not received

The emails go to spam folder

Spam is different. Gmail will normally attach a message to the email explaining why it was Spam. It’s usually email content, number of recipients or sending frequency.

This link does not suggest any solutions, it just gives some information—- am I correct?

Yes I do not receive most (99%) of the emails.

Yes. The solution is at the end of the article:

    1. Ensure you are sending to the right SMTP server
    2. Set up an SPF record if you use a custom domain
    3. Ensure that you have a valid (non-empty) Subject header
    4. Ensure that the SMTP server you do use allows emails with the From header you are setting – (e.g.) if you use from @yahoo.com and try to send via smtp.gmail.com, this will fail

Thank You – “Ensure that you have a valid (non-empty) Subject link” worked for me

My mail plugin, Postman SMTP, would have caught this problem.
