• hello,

I am experiencing problems with the Contact form 7 i.e. with the contact form generate using the plug-in and inserted in the page using WP Bakery contact element. The form looks perfect but it’s not sending out e-mails.

Every time I try to send out a mail using the form on the page, I (and all others who tried) receive an error message: THERE WAS AN ERROR TRYING TO SEND YOUR MESSAGE. PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER.

I have contacted the provider i.e. my hosting company, as I found on the internet that some provider block e-mails sent via .php and that it would be necessary to switch or manually integrate SMTP sending. My provider’s answer is that from there side they have no errors, they support sending via .php, and that either the theme or the visual composer must be causing it. We also checked the .PHP version, provider setting is 7.1-latest CGI. Contact Form apparently supports everything up to 7.2.
I contacted the theme developer, his answer was “the theme and the visual composer does not modify or handle the sending of emails. You should contact the plugin developers.”

    can you help?

    thank you
    best regards

  • Hello my good friend

    Do the following:

I think your problem is actually some incompatibility, probably by some plugin.

But I will introduce you to the magic of correcting your problems.

    First, change the theme.
Second, disable all plugins other than Contact Form 7 and the email sending plugin, which is probably (SMTP POSTMAN)

Third, create a very basic standard Contact Form 7 form, correctly following its syntax, as per the plugin’s documentation.

Take the test, if you send it, just isolate case by case, until you find what is happening.

Go through the steps, changing the theme, activating plugins again and finally you will find the problem and what is happening.

A tip that always is: Beware of Contact Form 7 syntax, you have to follow exactly, if you put an html input field, it will probably give an error, follow the correct syntax of Contact Form 7.

Also check out a problem I found when using WpBaakery, maybe it will happen to you too.

@willianxz Thank you for the speedy help.
I will try that and hope to find a solution, otherwise, I will have to switch to another contact-plugin, and I love Contact Form 7.
