Contact form not showing

    Hi All,

    I used the editor to put a (presumably standard) contact form into a page, but it’s not showing in the front end, even though I can see it in the editor after saving, and returning to re-edit.

    It’s not any 3rd party plug-in that I’ve installed or anything.

    Is it just not showing because the site isn’t live yet—and still in development mode?

  • Why don’t you use one of the plug-ins, e.g. Contactform7?

    Hi There.
    I might do, but I didn’t need to do it one one of my other WP sites.

    I’m trying to avoid non-WP 3rd party plug-ins as much as possible.

    I was on my bike this morning and an idea hit me…

    “Maybe because I selected the ‘Contact Page’ as my ‘Posts’ page in my customisation settings, that’s why the form doesn’t work?”

    (I had no idea what that setting was about when I set it ages ago)

    Yep, just changed the setting and the contact form now displays!
