Contact form not working in v.2.0.3

  • Hi,

    I’ve read through this and other forums to try to find a solution to this, but, unfortunately, I couldn’t. That’s why I’m opening this issue once again.

    To cut the story short – when you fill out the contact form and hit send, message of successful sending is displayed, but email is nowhere to be found.

    I’ve tried several hosting emails as well as few Gmail addresses, but email is simply not sent. Can you, please, help up with this?

    Have you tried to ask your hosting provider about this ? A misconfigured hosting can produce issues like that. Anyway… I highly recommend to use a smtp server (gmail is free and very good) + wp smtp plugin for wordpress mailing system.

    I have already tried all that, but there’s simply no email after submitting contact form. I have some programming knowledge my self and tried to figure it out, but code seems fine to me and it should work just fine. For some reason it doesn’t.

    Code is fine and it works fine on many other hosting configurations. I still think there is a problem with your hosting. You should make some debugging on wp_mail function… to see the errors (if any).

    I have tried it once again. Done everything like in configuration instructions, but when I want to send test message:

    SMTP connect() failed.

    and no matter what I do, no matter what I change, I can’t connect to my Gmail credentials. Contact form still not sending emails even with plugin installed and configured properly.

    @milanche037: if you get SMTP connect() failed… the smtp plugin is not configured properly.
    Anyway… if you consider WPMM is not working properly, then you’re free to use another maintenance plugin.

    No, plugin is configured properly, but it’s not working as it should for some reason. If I knew what’s that reason, I wouldn’t be sending you these messages, would I?

    Obviously professionalism is not your stronger side since you told me I’m free to use another plugin. If you don’t know how to function in this business, please, go do something else and stop wasting other peoples valuable time with your, so called, “customer support”.

    P.S. This is not solved and don’t deceive other visitors by marking it as solved.

    1. Do you realize this is a FREE product, not a business and you’re not a customer ?

    Definitely you have a problem with sending emails on that WordPress instalation (could a be a hosting related problem, or a smtp problem). If you have “Easy WordPress SMTP” installed, try to send an email from plugin settings (Testing and debugging settings):

    2. Why I’ve told you to use another plugin ? Because maybe our plugin is not what you’re looking for. We don’t lose money if we recommend you to use another plugin.
