Contact form required field issue

Hi! I’m using Orbit Fox/Elementor/Neve. In the Contact form, I’ve provided an optional ‘Phone’ field is being treated as required. That is, when one submits a form without the phone #, a “missing phone” message appears.

Previously, I had a similar problem with the required ‘Email’ field. Even if I provided a valid email, when I tried to submit, an ‘Email Required’ message appeared. It wasn’t until I provided a value in the ‘Phone’ field that the form was accepted. I thought this might have to do with how I created the phone field — by duplicating and renaming the email field. So I deleted ‘Phone’ and recreated it – and this caused the issue I outline in the first paragraph.

Finally, when I see the email that’s sent, the values I entered are aligned with the wrong labels.

Seems like something is off here, but I’ve been unable to determine the cause. Thanks for the help
