Contact Form sending me multiple submissions

  • Hi there,

    When someone is submitting a question via the contact form, I receive 5 submission of the same one. At first I thought someone was clicking on Submit a bunch of times but I tried it out and only clicked on it once and sure enough… a few seconds later 5 copies landed in my inbox.

    Have a over-looked a particular setting?
    Any suggestions?

    Hi jjolliffe,

    Is this still an issue for you? We’ve recently introduced a fix for JetPack, and other plugins that was causing this issue to happen. Just want to confirm if it was effective for you or not. If it wasn’t, we’ll start the process of fixing this issue for you.

    Yes, it’s still happening. Also, reCAPTCHA error message even though message gets delivered.

    Hi jjolliffe,

    This sounds like it could be a plugin conflict issue. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

    If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

    If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
