Thank you for this plugin – I’ve been very happy with it. I ran into an odd issue, and it could be any combinations of WP-SpamShield, Flexible Posts Widget, and the way WordPress uses shortcodes causing it, but I think WPSS is the best place to start looking. Here’s a test site with just those two plugins activated:
    https://rweber.net/test_site/wordpress/?page_id=2

The image above the contact form is a screenshot of what happens after I submit the contact form: the message (in this case an error, but it happens with the thank you message as well) is displayed not only in place of all original content in the main content area, as it is intended to, but in the content of the Flexible Posts Widget as well. I’m using a template for FPW that pulls the post content in the usual way, with “echo the_content();” within a Loop.

I haven’t been able to figure out how the overriding of the non-contact-form page content happens in the first place, but it seems it happens with too large a scope. Do you have any ideas?

    Hi ReveDreams,

I’m glad you’re happy with the plugin. ??

In this case WP-SpamShield only outputs content in the loop per WordPress documentation so there is nothing that can be done on my end to change this. This seems like more of an issue that needs to be addressed with the Flexible Posts Widget author, as you mentioned that it’s showing the page/posts content from the loop. It seems like it would be best if that plugin had an option to disable itself on certain posts/pages.

Since this isn’t a WP-SpamShield issue, I’m going to mark this as resolved. Have a good one.

    – Scott
