Contact Forms not Sending

Like many others, since a recent WP update a month ago and perhaps a Contact Form 7 update simultaneously, when anyone clicks SEND they are getting the message: “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.” Nothing has changed that we know of, outside of these updates. Could you tell us what’s going on? Thanks
