  • The scripts mentioned in that thread are pretty complicated to set up. Can someone make a plugin for this?

I’ll take it. I’ll make one to document how to make WP plugins.

Give me a couple weeks, though.

Actually, sorry, I’ve dropped plans to make this… knee-deep in other code.

    Hmm…

If someone were to make a ContactMe plugin, there are two (obvious) ways to go about it. A completely self-contained version (the Easy way), or one tied into WordPress’s spam stuff, including other spam plugins (the Hard way).

But I’m a masochist when it comes to this stuff, so I’ll look at the Hard way first ??

RustIndy: I got your back. I did it the other week, I’ll write up how I did it and make the code available. Give me a day or so though. Here’s a link to my contact page if you want to seek it (kind of like photomatt’s).

    Contact Page

I meant to do this after I finished mine but I forgot about it, thanks for reminding me.

I would love a plugin like this as well. Yours looks great ryan.

you shouldn’t be looking for a plugin for this. both of the options listed on the thread i linked have features to combat attacks on the form. when a new form of an attack arises, their developers will be obligated to respond with a new version.

Sorry to bug, but I’m actually looking for a plugin, or a tutorial as to how to easily do this.

Again, those linked scripts referenced above aren’t very user-friendly for someone wanting a contact page for a personal site. The first one doesn’t even have a field for a contact message, geared more toward a marketing scheme.
