I noticed that GB containers do not support naming of the block that was added with the latest WP. Is it possible to add support for that?

    Hi @and_or,

Good point, I’ll see if we could add renaming support.

We’re going to do this in January.

    Hi @and_or,

Would you be OK with waiting until March 26th for renaming support, or activating the latest Gutenberg plugin?

Sorry, I said we’d do this in January.

Almost all blocks, including Genesis Blocks, should have renaming support when they release WordPress 6.5.

For example, Gutenberg already supports renaming almost all blocks, it’s just not in Core yet.

Thanks, and sorry to change plans.

    Hi Ryan,

Hope you are right… and the support will be for existing blocks too. If its is time consuming to add the support to the GB container block then it is more sensible to wait until March.
On the other hand I already find that I stopped using the container block and use a group block instead. So same result – no effort ??

OK, good to hear you’re getting good results with the group block.

If it’s OK, I won’t add support in Genesis Blocks, we’ll just wait for WP 6.5 in March.
