containers overlap and hide each other?

    hello,

    I have 2 containers. the top one is empty. the next one down the page has text, images etc.

    I want the top one to have a background image that fills the container full page width as this seems to be the only way I can do this with this image. so when I fill the container and hit preview, the top container is mostly hidden by the second container. how to get the top container to show completely ABOVE the second container in page layout?

    hi I was trying make a banner that spanned the full width of the container but found an alternative method. thanks for your kind replies.
