Content disappears after page modification

This is hard to say. Can you provide a link to an example of such a post? Even better would be if you can copy the whole original post as you edit it in the edit box, paste it in an pure text file and upload that, too. This will allow people to see the “before” and “after”, and maybe spot where the problem is.

Here is the problem: my page contains a simple table with about 7 rows and 2 columns and displays OK. I modify it using the HTML Source Editor and I add this tag to each tr tag:
style=”padding: 10px”
Then I save my page and only the first row of the table appears. The rest is invisible.

It’s really hard to tell from just a description, it’s best if you can provide a link to the problem post.

If you can’t do that, then I can only suggest the following: view page, then check its source to see if the whole table is in the page source.

Other than that…I’m afraid we have to wait for someone else more knowledgeable. I’m quite interested in knowing the problem and solution, too, though, out of curiosity.

I edited this page in WP by adding the tag style=”padding-bottom: 15px” to each tr tag. As a result the page is considerably shortened and only the firt tr tag appears.

There are some XHTML validation errors on that page, but I don’t think they cause this problem. (Although you should fix them to be sure)

In the Admin settings, have you checked the option to automatically correct invalid XHTML? If so, could you deselect it and try again?

May have to turn off the wysiwyg editor if trying to add an HTML table to a Page.
