I have a rather strange problem lately. I write my blog in OO and then c&p it into WP, which has been working fine for a couple of months. Though lately when I do this AND hit save/publish/preview parts of the content gets lost.
Sometimes only a few words at the end, sometimes everything but one half sentence. I did not change anything except for my ISP (I doubt that this is the cause).
I can work around this by posting the content via SQL interface but I don’t like doing that.

    Thank you in advance.

what specific OO do you use? Usually only a basic editor will work with c & p ing

I use OO 2.2 and had no problems with it before. (Working with this configuration and method over 3 months and I did not change anything to my knowledge)
I might check with my webhoster, maybe they have problems with processing the post into the DB or something like this.

I’ve seen this before. Do not copy and paste from OpenOffice because it will mess up your content display (just like MS Word). Use a text editor instead of a word processor for this.
