Content Has Disappeared from Home Page

Update: So somehow I got this fix but don’t understand why it worked.

I installed another template after doing serveral plugin and theme conflict tests.

After installing a theme called Store WooCommerce, the theme wanted to install several other plugins: Classic Widgets, Demo Installer, Product Compare and Quick View.

I enabled the plugins and their theme loaded my images.

So I switched back to the Astra Store template and it started working again.

Switching to any other theme alone did not work. I had to switch to this Store WooCommerce and install all its dependencies and then my header images would load.

The product images were not even loading unless I disabled all plugins and reenabled the woocommerce plugin. But the Astra theme itself would not load my original content until I did this fix above.

Any idea what the issue is?

I am afraid of this coming back to haunt me.

Hi @rayeason,

When you have the issue raises up again, please try to temporarily switch the theme to the default WooCommerce theme, Storefront and see whether the issue gets resolved. If it doesn’t, then this is not theme related.

Yes, I did that. The products would not appear.

The only way I got it to work was by installing those other plugins for the Store WooCommerce theme.

Which makes no since unless astra required those plugins.

But you theme has been working for months without them.

Could there have been some change in the Astra WooCOmmerce theme?

No. Astra doesn’t need those plugins in order to work.

Anyway, I can see the products on your Store page and I noticed that Astra is the active theme. Refer to this screenshot, please.

Does this mean you have solved this, or do I miss something? If the second one is what happened, would you mind creating a video showing the problem?

Yes, the products are now appearing.

Only after I installed the plugins from the other theme.

So I am really confused by what the issue actually is/was.

That’s weird indeed.

What happens if you deactivate those plugins? The products on the Store page disappear?

I currently do not have those plugins activated and deleted them a few weeks ago. The site and Astra theme seem to be working fine after our initial correspondence.
