I understand you are seeing Content ID like “G-0185_45731”.
This appears to be a combination of the SKU you have assigned and the Post ID assigned by WordPress.

Could you please edit this specific product and share the screenshot of the SKUs assigned to the product variations?

This behavior usually happens when a variable product is assigned an SKU but variations inside that product are not assigned SKUs.

Once I have the screenshots from your end, I will be in a better position to troubleshoot this issue.

To clarify, are you currently using the Facebook for WooCommerce plugin? The settings screenshot you’ve shared seems to be from a different plugin.

Could you share a copy of your site’s System Status Report with us? You’ll find it at the top of the page under WooCommerce > Status > Select Get System Report and Download for Support. This will download a TXT file containing the SSR’s contents to share with us.

Once you have the System Status Report file, please copy and paste your reply or share it via Mozilla Community Pastebin and share the link here.

From your screenshots it seems our original possibility of being a SKU issue was not right.

Were you able to run the conflict test my colleague suggested? It can help us pinpoint the cause.

Let me share more information on it here.

To test, you’ll first want to change the theme on your site to Storefront, then check to see if the issue is still present. If that resolves the issue, you’ll want to get in touch with your theme’s developer and see if they have an update or fix for you.

If changing the theme doesn’t help, you’ll want to deactivate all plugins except for WooCommerce and Facebook and take a look. If that fixes the problem, re-enable the other plugins one by one (gradually), checking after each, to see where the issue is coming from.

— Be sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. You can ask your host for backup functionality or you can consider using a service like Jetpack. If something goes wrong, you will be able to restore it.

— Also, you can consider using a plugin like Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it is helpful to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

— It is important to consider as well a staging functionality in case you would not like to touch your production site (you can ask your host if they offer this service), or you can use WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

Content IDs do not match and pixel not tracking purchases on data events

To clarify, there is no option to create bespoke content IDs, as described in the first message here, I’m afraid.

Moreover, I went ahead with taking a look at the site at https://za-rina.com, while using the Meta Pixel helper extension (related documentation linked here). It appears there are some troubleshooting steps recommended there.

As a next step, it is best to proceed with the troubleshooting steps detailed there.

I had a plan to release a catalog for Snapchat, Tik Tok and all platforms
After a while due to Google Ads/Google Merchant I noticed that the product ID is incorrect and varies from one platform to another

I’d like to quickly confirm that the product IDs for our marketing integrations: Facebook for WooCommerce, Google Listings & Ads, etc., are indeed different. They’re not expected to be the same as the platforms have different requirements.

• Google Listings & Ads: Appends gla to the product IDs. The conversion tracking data is integrated within the plugin to track Google shopping and ads metrics.
• Facebook for WooCommerce: SKU + Product ID makes up the Facebook content ID. (or just the product ID when no SKU is added). The content ID is synced to the Facebook product catalog and integrated within Facebook pixels/events. This means that when someone makes a purchase on your site, the ID will match as it’s passed in the pixel and catalog.

These plugins using different IDs doesn’t matter and wouldn’t cause an issue as they all implement tracking for their specific platforms.

Moving forward, it seems you’re seeing a content ID mismatch on Facebook. If that’s the case, the issue would be limited to Facebook for WooCommerce. The best place to start would be to investigate the issue with your pixel pointed out earlier. If there’s an issue with the pixel, it could prevent the content ID from being correctly matched and result in an error on Facebook.
