Content length problem in posts

  • WordPress 1.5.2, Mac OS X
    WP is working fine for shorter posts, but I have a post I have written that is a bit longer, only 1738 characters. On submission of the post, in both FF and Safari, It just hangs waiting, no error, just a continual wait.

    There are no links so it can’t be the ping issue, and I have taken out the Optoins > Writing > Update Services link…

    If I truncate the post it will submit fine, any more that 840 characters it seems to just hang.

  • Then there is probably something wrong with your Theme’s design or something else. Your post entry can be HUGE, covering dozens of physical pages in length. But something else is causing your Theme to time out. Validate your code to make sure there are no errors, and test it on other browers and on a PC to see if the problem is consistent. And provide a link to your site and we’ll take a look, too.
