• Trouble started after core WordPress was updated from 4.9.7 to 5.1.1. Parts of the website don’t appear.

I tried to revert to the old version by moving the new files and uploading the older version through FTP to cPanel’s public_html folder. Formatting got better, but wp-admin look changed totally.

Tried to replicate site on XAMPP.

Lastly, followed the manual update procedure in https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Upgrading_WordPress_Extended#Step_9:_Run_the_WordPress_upgrade_program, updated all the plugins as well, but content still doesn’t show up. Find A Trainer and Contact Us work find because there’s additional scripts running there. But otherwise none of the pages have proper content.

    Please help.

    Thank you

  • Have you tried fixing the JS issues which are showing up on console? I can see greensock, layerslider and prettyphoto erros in console.

It can happen if you are loading these libraries before jquery but you need to check on your end.

    Best,
    John.

    Hi

To add to what johnmavrick455 said…

I just checked your website and the homepage as well as all the inner pages have content on them. (Actually this was the case within 10 minutes of your post, but I didn’t have time to reply earlier.)

But it appears your old uploads folder — which contains all your images and any uploaded file — hasn’t been properly restored yet (I hope you made a backup before deleting it!). As a result, all your images are missing on the website, and Google Chrome’s console shows 404-not found errors for all pages with images.
