I recently moved two WordPress websites to my new hosting plan and I moved one successfully but the second site is not displaying any of my content. The template is installed correctly and is displaying fine. All my content files, galleries etc. have been uploaded correctly…the problem is the template is not picking up any of my content/structure/galleries etc. Just the generic theme without changes is showing. Can anyone please help me with this? My host provider has confirmed I have followed all the correct steps and is not sure why the content is not showing. Thank you

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Hi Esmi, thanks for the help. I tried all of the above but nothing worked. I spent hours on it yesterday because I couldn’t understand why everything moved over perfectly and the theme couldn’t pick up my content. So I figured the problem had to be with the copy of my MYSQL database exported sql file for the site…and more so that this information had not imported back into the site in its entirety, in its new location. After attempting to re-import the information (I had to do it twice) it worked perfectly!! WOHOOOO ??

Glad to hear that you finally got it working again. ??
