I am using a redirect plugin to direct members to a certain page on login. They are getting to the correct page after login but the content is not showing up — I just get the header and footer on the page. I am using the “restrict this content” settings on the page (not a shortcode). If I do a hard refresh (Ctrl-F5) the content shows up — a regular browser refresh won’t work. There are times that it actually works as designed in Firefox. In Chrome it always has the problem. I have cleared the cached and even rebooted my PC just to see if that’s the issue.

I am using the Divi theme.

I can send you the login privately.

  • As a quick test, does the issue go away if you activate a theme other than Divi?

I’d have to completely re-do the pages to test that. All the content is designed in Divi. If I activate another theme there is nothing on the pages.

But… I created a simple page, changed the login redirect, and activated the 2017 theme and it worked. So seems to be related to Divi

Sounds like the Divi page builder is the problem. I would recommend reading this blog post in regards to some of the problems with page builders like the one included in Divi: https://pippinsplugins.com/wordpress-page-builder-plugins-critical-review/

Hi Pippin — I changed themes to iThemes and I am still seeing the issue — the first time I go to a restricted page after logging in, it’s blank and I have to do a hard refresh (ctrl refresh) to see it. Any ideas?

    Apologies for missing this!

Sounds like it’s an issue with caching plugin. Could you show me a list of all the plugins you have installed on your site?
