Content only appears in homepage

    Hello,

    I had my blog abandoned for quite a while and when I went back today I found that any page I click throws a 404 error, whilst is content is still in the database and it shows fine in the admin section.

    I thought it may be fixed by updating to 3.0.5 but it is still the same. Anybody has any clues, indications, leads?

  • Have you checked your Permalink Settings ?

    Hey Ed,

    I had the same problem yesterday, where the site was down for a couple of hours (except the home page). I too got the 404-error when clicking on any page or post. I tried some different things like deactivating some of my plugins, and somehow it went back to normal.

    I’ll try the plugins thing first and then the permalins settings. How could they be possibly wrong if last time I went in the site it was working just fine?

    Guys,

    Got it working when I checked the permalinks. Apparently my hosting provider won’t allow me to update .htaccess and that was causing the problem. I’ll talk to them.
