• Good afternoon,

We have this wonderful plugin installed with which we have created a new role “Professional”. We need to restrict access to some Learnpress courses and have configured the “Content permissions” and “Limit access to content to users of selected profiles” (If no profile is selected everyone will be able to see the content. The author and any user who can edit the content, and users with the restrict_content capability can see the content regardless of their profile).

The issue is that after restricting the permissions to all users except “Professional”, the content is still accessible to all users…

What we need is to restrict access to certain roles using the “Content permissions” that can be configured within the learnpress course tabs.

Thank you very much for your help

    Hi @serlop

Keep in mind that Content Permissions feature only blocks the post content (that’s what you write in the post editor), post excerpt, and post comments. It does not block anything else.

I installed Learnpress and created a new course. I noticed that the post content I inserted is inside Overview tab and it is protected as I can see error message from Content Permissions settings. I’ll attach the screenshot for reference: https://share.cspf.co/o0u9665P.

Other parts of Learnpress are populated dynamically from post meta outside post content and Content Permissions will not protect these parts. I’m afraid that you need to use more advanced plugin to protect whole courses and lessons content.

    Best
