Hi there. This plugin is perfect for my needs. However, when using a membership in WooCommerce and the download isn’t available, usually the message is displayed to log in and the default Add To Cart is hidden. When this plugin is activated the download button shows.

Any way to hide it also from Content Restricted – Membership Required pages?

Haha well I already have 3 plugins on here and I’m making more. I’m a web developer, owner of squareonemedia.co.uk and I’m moving into free and premium plugin and theme development. I’ve all but abandoned by current site and business model, have 2 recent websites built that aren’t even in my portfolio. Most recent is veterangamers.co.uk

Specifically I’ll be focussed on e-commerce and social. So keep an eye out ??

Is this the kind of thing you were thinking? It’s pretty cool, and works great.

So far we have the following:

    • Single file just shows single download button.
    • Multiple shows the above screenshot (Twenty Seventeen theme shown).
    • No URLs are visible.
    • It uses the WooCommerce download handler so should be safe, secure, and compatible.
    • Membership should now be restricted to.

I’ll upload a test file for you to try out for me if that’s ok?

Let me know. Follow me on Twitter so I can send you a link. @Square1MediaUK

Hey Richard, you’ve been working hard!

It does look great and you have added lots of new features I see. Hopefully a few more people will download your plugin now and you are even more inspired to find new features.

I would love to test it out for you and report back. One thing, are the features able to be manipulated from the back end? I guess I’ll find out ??

Yes it will be customisable ?? FYI the bulk downloader requires the files to have been uploaded to your WordPress site, so external links won’t work.

Add me on Twitter so I can DM you a download link when it’s ready to test. I’ll Dropbox it. @Square1MediaUK

    Hi again,

I did that. I think I did it correctly – I honestly have never used twitter! hehe

I just noticed a problem with the original version. As you know, as the site gets finished, these things always present themselves. I have a subscription product and the button usually says “sign up now”, but with your plugin active, this is changed to “Read more”. Is there any way for your plugin, as part of the price and downloadable verification, to check that the product is NOT a subscription product?

    Thanks again as always.

Is that using WooCommerce Subscriptions here – https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-subscriptions/

Or is this still WooCommerce Memberships? You don’t want this particular product, which requires a membership but is free, to be included in my plugin?

    Yeah, I’m using that one.

I just re-read my last message and I think I was unclear. Forget button labels – when Download Now is activated, and the ‘read more’ button pressed on ‘single-product’ of my Subscription products, the page just refreshes, as opposed to going to the cart. This only happens on the subscription products, not regular products. Disable the plugin and the button text returns to what is set in WCSubscriptions.

    Hello again,
It is a ‘variable subscription product’ which is only able to be created with Woocommerce subscriptions plugin. That subscription productneeds to be added to cart and purchased by the visitor. After payment, the user becomes a member and has access to download files. So basically, your plugin should ignore Subscription and Variable Subscription products, because they will always need to be purchased and never downloaded.

I’m confusing myself, so please let me know if you want to know more.
