Content section floats wrong

My website is TF2TightRope.com.
My style sheet customisation is here: https://www.tf2tightrope.com/wp-content/themes/bouquet-child/style.css

I use

#content {
    float: left;
}

to fix an issue with the date on the main page showing up on top of other content, but having it messes the width of the content section on other pages. For example, https://www.tf2tightrope.com/about/ comes out wrong, but the lack of that float makes the date on https://www.tf2tightrope.com/ come out wrong.

I tested this using the code inspector of Firefox.
