Content shifts down after 2nd click of submenu

  • Hi Guys,

    When a submenu is clicked say for eg Graphics, the 1st time this menu is positioned correctly from my css, but the 2nd click of this menu or another menu on the same page shifts the next menu below the original (1st) position. This feature has been working for months which I implemented in my css.

    Yesterday I wanted to adjust “Other Service Solutions” in other page Services because there was too much space between this header and submenu (Virtual Private Network – vpn) on this page, so I was tweaking the tags on this menu and css, to make vpn submenu work accordingly. I realize that the shift down of content has occurring so I reverted back to css state prior to updating this menu, but I still got the same issue. The code to move anchor down below fixed top header menu is consistent through out these 2 pages (Products and Services).

    I have searched this forum and debugged the issue and didn’t find a solution to this problem. I also tried other css alternative but still got the same results. I even disabled my css code and that didn’t remove the issue. I didn’t update agama theme, so I can’t understand where this problem came from when it has been working for months now until yesterday.

    Have anyone else experienced this problem and fixed this issue or does anyone here knows a solution on how to fix this issue?

    Hi Guys,

    I just realize I don’t have this issue in Chrome, but I do have issue in FF, IE and Edge. I have specific CSS for different browsers because of their different behaviors, which didn’t have any issue for months. I didn’t have any css for Chrome, because I didn’t have any issue with this browser.

    Consequently, I added an extra break tag in between previous content and next subheadings so that content is not shown from previous subheading when a subheading is clicked. This is a temporary workaround to compensate and make the subheading show at the top of screen, without showing the last part of previous subheading content.

    If anyone knows a fix for this issue, let me know.

    Hey Themevision,

    Thanks for your response. It says Elementor page builder same plugin as I saw on your youtube link, that it is Incompatible with my version of WordPress, so I assume I can’t use it. Let me know if you have any other ideas or resolution.

    The theme itself is compatible with the Elementor Page builder.
    You can easily update the WordPress if you need that.

    I updated my WordPress version, but after activating the elementor plugin, I later realized that the feature to use anchor is disabled in free version. This can get expensive pretty quick to buy plugins to fix little things. In the meantime I’ll see if I can check available reputable plugins with anchor feature enabled.

    Hey Themevision,

    Yesterday when I tried to drag menu anchor on my page, I was able to drag but it wouldn’t set on my page, that’s why I thought that I needed the pro version. Upon more research as per link below:

    It seems that menu anchors as per Advanced section from link above:

    Menu Anchors are only supported when used on the same page. Link anchors on different pages may not work properly and are not supported.

    Hence, this widget may not work for me because the links are not in the same page, the links are located in my header bar and the anchors are within the page. So I assume that’s why I’m unable to set it on page.

    Hence I don’t think this widget will work, unless you can prove otherwise. So back to the drawing board to figure out a solution to my issue, let me know if you come up with anything else. I’m still searching, if I find a solution I’ll post it for other users with same issue.

    Hello, @ begood321!

    It is very easy to link anchor elements from the main menu to any page using a custom link.
    Please follow the steps below:
    1. Use the Elementor Page Builder to insert your anchor element into the page you need, and give it a unique ID.
    2. Navigate to Dashboard-> Appearance-> Menus
    3. Add custom links to your primary menu in the following format:

    your-main-page /#your-anchor-id

    Hey Themevision,

    I tried to use the elementor plugin to create anchor link by dragging it to page but it wouldn’t set on the page above header, remember I mentioned to you in a couple of posts ago.

    I do have anchor links I set up originally which works as in my 1st post when I explained initially. If you go to this link, you’ll see that my anchor link Graphics works, but a 2nd click of link from the products submenu of the same menu (Graphics) or another submenu link under Products menu moves sub heading to a lower position.

    So I’m still seeking a viable solution.
