Is there a way to set the content width so it does not stretch out all the way to the left and right edges as in url provided. And is there a way to get our sermons page layout to match our blog page’s where the content is next to the sidebar instead of above? Thank you for your help ??

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @nccsa,

This is really down to the theme you are using, and it seems your current active theme doesn’t know how to wrap content properly without specifying a specific page template. You can definitely achieve what you are after but it would mean creating some overrides in your theme for the Sermon Manager views.

In the Sermon Manager plugin you will find a folder called ‘views’ and in there you will see the archive php file among other’s. You can take a copy of this and put it into the root of your theme and modify it to add the appropriate divs etc so that it shows up right.

We do offer custom services where we can do this for you, so that may be an option if you get stuck.

    Regards,
    Igor

Also, another option are shortcodes ??

But it might or might not work depending on your theme.

Custom views made by us are always an option ??

Thank you for replying and providing us with the useful suggestions. I guess the concern in editing the archive php in the root of the theme or having you customize it for us, would be; What would happen if and when we change the theme again… As far using shorcodes on a page, we did that but since the last update of Sermon Manager, the [sermon_sort_fields] shortcode no longer works on an independent page, it does not return results, see: https://newcreationchurchsa.com/test

The only viable solution, we think, is purchasing one of your themes; Would that solve the issue for us do you think?

    Hi @nccsa,

    Thanks for your response.
You are right, creating custom overrides would have certain theme specific code in it so if you were to change your theme, you will most likely need to get the overrides tweaked too.

Regarding the sort/filter shortcode, that behavior is actually right, that shortcode is only meant to show the filter and no results under it. You would need to include the [sermons] shortcode under it to see results as well.

We would love to have you on board one of our themes and that’s certainly an option. We have a new version of Multiply theme coming out (by) this Friday and also another 2 new themes coming out around the same time. So it might be worth waiting to see them and then making your decision.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
