"continue reading" but still shows plugins.. HELP!

    Hi, I am using the ‘more’ option so that it shows a small summery on the homepage. What I want to show is the featured image and only the text up to the point I added the ‘more’ option. then under that I would like the old “posted by..” “category..” “date..” but thats all.

    What is happening is it shows “continue reading” (ok) but under this it shows a map plugin that I am using (mappress) and my facebook like buttons.

    I want to hide all the content especially the map and facebook like button but dont know where to start. take a look at https://www.redwillowsoul.co.uk to see what i mean.

    Or am I missing what the more button does? if I click on the events category it shows small clips but without thumbnail. is the more JUST hiding the rest of text and SUPPOSED to show everything else?

    The <--more--> tag forces only the text above the tag to be displayed (as you want) but cannot control what 3rd party plugins might add onto that shortened content. Try looking for plugins that allow you to turn off their displays on everything but single posts.
