“Continue Reading” button/link after blog excerpt

Hello!
I’d like to add a “continue reading” button after the post excerpt on our post page. I’ve noticed that there isn’t a “read more” or “continue reading” button in the theme on the post page.
I’ve used the “read more” block to create the excerpt, but would really like viewers to be able to click on a “continue reading” button to view the whole post.
Can you help?
