Just wanted to start a separate thread for this because this issue got added into the comments on this issue: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/pages-are-mia-after-update/

But to be clear there continues to be a permalink issues even though v1.6.5.1 was supposed to roll you back to v1.6.3 which dealt with this issue. However most definitely still is a problem if running v1.6.5.1.

    ex:
    /page1/slug
    /page2/slug
    /page3/slug

If you go to /page1/slug or /page2/slug, you get the content from /page3/slug, however your URL shows as the URL you clicked on.

  • +1 , this is a serious issue.

Why are you even touching anything outside admin?

+1, Agreed. Love the plugin, but not sure why anything on the front end would/should be affected.

Following. This caused a page to redirect to an event on The Events Calendar which was unwanted. Have temporarily disabled the plugin.

Yep, this “rollback” just dont fix it.

Just figured this out as well. Took us so long because we didn’t think it could be Nested Pages. Why is it touching anything in the front end? Doesn’t make any sense.

A temporarily patched version is being posted now.

For those asking why NP is instantiated on the front end, it’s necessary for the correct structure for pages nested underneath “link” items in the nested view.

If anyone is willing to beta test development releases, please let me know. There were a few users who helped previously, and they all reported that the issue was fixed with the last release.

Thanks for the support @kylephillips. Much appreciated!

Hah, I did not see the link option. I’m using your plugin because it cleans up the interface a lot, especially if you have 50+ pages with multiple levels of nesting. Thanks for quick fix though, perhaps make the link optional and give users ability to deactivate?

    Thank you for this update.

I have updated the plug-in locally and it does seem to have fixed the issue. I will continue to test before reactivating the plugin on our production site.

This bug created some issues on our website that we didn’t even know to look for until they were discovered, too late, in production by our users. As a result, we have had to add a number of additional checks to help spot such issues before they go into production.

    Great job Kyle! Much appreciated!

I’m experiencing the following error on 1.6.5.2, WordPress 4.6 (waiting for 4.7.1 before updating to the latest version).

    Any ideas?
