Contradictory Information (Automatic Database Maintenance)

Your blog states that Automatic Database Maintenance occurs every week. Your plugin, however, says every 48 hours. Click here and here for details. Which one is correct?

Also, would like suggest SG Optimizer be updated to include an option to change the automatic database maintenance interval to say, every day, every three days, every seven days, and every 30 days.
