[Contributor Role] Blank Screen Upon Log-in

  • I’ve had a couple of contributors to my site [https://allisondduncan.com] say that the site wouldn’t allow them to save posts as drafts. At the time I assumed it was a problem but as long as they emailed the posts to me, no biggie.

    As of today’s update to 3.1.1 my contributors can’t login and see their dashboards. All they get is a white screen after log-in. I’ve checked the forums and done google searches but it doesn’t seem to have been reported yet.

    As admin I have no issues with login. I do have a test account that I set to contributor and was able to reproduce their login issue with. When it was set to Author role, the issues went away.

    So temporarily they are all set to Author. However, I’m not seeing any reason why contributors are suddenly unable to see their dashboards or [and I have to assume this is a WP problem now] save drafts of posts.

    Any assistance or hacks for fixing this would be appreciated.
