    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Contributors do not have access to your site’s stats by default. If you’d like to give them access, you can go to Jetpack > Settings, and click on the Configure link next to the Stats module.

Contributors can’t disconnect the site from WordPress.com either. Only admins and super admins can do so.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

ok so ive checked and yes i can see that but there is still an option for them to connect to wordpress.com through jetpack
how does that work will they only see statistics for their own posts then? if they connect to their own account and will this affect my stats account or connection to wordpress?

That’s correct. They can link their own account to their WordPress.com account, and thus use Jetpack modules such as Notifications. They can’t, however, manage or configure modules, or access things like Stats, not even for their own posts, unless you give them access to the whole stats as I mentioned earlier.

Once they’re connected, it won’t affect your own connection to WordPress.com. You’ll only see an additional option under Jetpack > My Jetpack, if you ever want to transfer ownership of the Jetpack connection to them.
