    Hi, Everyone!

I’m a newbie WP blogger and neophyte IT idiot, so excuse these questions that may seem ridiculous or redundant.

    1) Must I create a special customized page to activate the WP admin user moderation feature for this plugin?

After very recent initial installation, I logged out and back in immediate but didn’t see a reCAPTCHA dialogue on my regular WP .php login page. This is despite copy/pasting “site” and “secret” API keys directly from Google’s re-CAP webmaster account interface.

    2) Can I block all viewers who have not yet been approved or previously rejected from accessing my standard WP .php login page?

Ever since back-to-back Brute Force attacks began a few weeks ago, I’m so sick of spambots creating new ‘subscriber’ accounts but never posting comments or completing profiles for obscene usernames and/or weird IP addresses, etc.

Please help ASAP, as inbox piles up with auto-email alerts about failed logins and ‘ghost’ user signups even as I type this text!

    MANY THANKS AND BEST REGARDS,

    No – that’s automatic.

You may be confusing login through the wp-login.php page with registration through the wp-login.php page.

While you don’t have to disallow use of the standard wp-login.php page for registration (generally referred to as “backend” or “default”), it is recommended. You can turn that off in your WordPress settings under Settings > General and uncheck “anyone can register”.
