control panel not loading

  • I updated three plugins last night onto my website https://www.lejardinetdesigns.com and now can’t load the admin control panel for wordpress. HELP! This is the error message;

    HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

    I can’t remember the exact names of the plugins – one was a social share, one was a Constant Contact and not sure of third. Had them all running successfully prior to updates.

    What do I do?

  • Try:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder inside wp-content/themes and adding “-old” to the end of the folder name using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
